Returning to Hong Kong, the legendary Mandarin Oriental Hotel

Once again in Hong Kong, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the Mandarin Oriental, there were promotions on various OTA platforms, so I decided to experience this time-honored legendary hotel. Walking over from the Central footbridge, I saw an advertisement for a Leslie Cheung mini-exhibition, which was quite emotional. ✨ Environment highlights: As a time-honored luxury hotel, the lobby is gorgeously decorated, adorned with numerous antique art pieces, resembling a small museum. The fan element, as a signature, can be seen everywhere, and the room card is made of wood, which is quite interesting. 💁 Room Service: I must say the service is really good. Before coming to Hong Kong, there were rumors about discrimination against mainland guests, but this does not exist in the hotel. Even if you book the most basic room type, the staff are very polite and courteous. The staff try their best to speak Mandarin, even if not very well. When entering through the side door, the staff immediately came to help with the luggage, and the front desk always escorted guests to the elevator. In the evening, they even delivered small snacks. 🏨 Room Facilities: The room is decorated in an old-money style, with the bathroom and bathing area separated. The room's large floor-to-ceiling window overlooks Central Plaza, and the universal socket on the office desk can be used directly without an adapter, which is praiseworthy. Although it is a 60-year-old hotel, the smart system is up-to-date, not inferior to newly opened hotels. 🌲 Surrounding Entertainment: Central is extremely valuable real estate with an excellent location. The hotel is opposite to Prince's Building, which is very convenient for shopping. The hotel is within walking distance to the Ferris wheel and the Peak Tram, and there are also trams and the Star Ferry nearby, offering a complete range of dining and entertainment options. 🥢 Dining: The hotel has a Michelin-starred Mandarin Grill inside, and the cake shop on the M floor is also famous. For breakfast, you can have a buffet or set menu. I chose the buffet at the Clipper Lounge, and although the selection was not extensive, the taste was quite good. The Hong Kong-style dim sum for breakfast really won my heart. 🎫 Hong Kong Hospitality: With the Hong Kong Hospitality voucher, you can go to the bar for a welcome drink. We exchanged it for a one-way Airport Express ticket at Hong Kong Station, which is also very close to the hotel, and the subway station allows seamless connections. 🚇 Transportation Tips: Coming from the airport, you can take the Airport Express and walk through the underground passage. Exit K of Central Station is the most convenient, and there is an elevator, so there's no worry with luggage.
