The living room's brown leather sofa, warm yellow floor lamp, and black square table—every detail and color highlight the quality of this established hotel, like a moment frozen in time. A welcome fruit platter also came with chocolates, presented on a wooden tray with the Mandarin Oriental logo. I tried one; it was smooth and sweet, perfect for dispelling the fatigue of the journey. The cabinet under the TV, which houses the minibar, is divided into four sections, filled with various soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Want to mix your own cocktail and need ice? Contact the front desk, and they will deliver it to the storage cabinet connected to the adjoining room and corridor, lighting up a green light to notify you, maintaining MO's tradition of respecting guest privacy. Where to store the extra ice cubes? If the hotel didn't point it out, you might never think of it — in the bronze cauldron below! The layout of the living room, bedroom, bathroom, and dressing room is ingeniously designed, with a clear flow of movement. Every clever idea is practically applied, making walking around the room comfortable and pleasant.‍ After the turndown service, I was surprised to find that the corner of the pillowcase on the pillow was embroidered with my initials. I inquired at the front desk and was told I could take it as a keepsake. Although it's a City View Suite, it's situated at a corner, offering both cityscape and Victoria Harbour sea views. The suite's washroom is spacious, a rarity even in newly opened hotels. A large bathtub is centrally placed, surrounded by a washstand, vanity, shower, and toilet. The floor-to-ceiling windows face Victoria Harbour. This year, artists like Jay Chou and JJ Lin held concerts in the Central Harbourfront Event Space in front, and staying here meant a free show~ The toiletries are from Italy's Dipytque, 34 Boulevard Saint Germain, in large bottles. The body lotion was generously provided at 50ml, with a refreshing and pleasant scent. Beneath the classic design, the room's hardware and smart technology are actually very up-to-date. After a two-night stay, one can experience many quietly delightful amenities. All room controls are electronic, with enough USB ports and data cables provided. The SMART lighting control system divides the lighting into several levels, and the room is equipped with a BOSE speaker system, Nespresso capsule coffee machine, and other devices.
