More affordable local chain hotels in Hong Kong: L'hotel

L'hotel is a chain hotel brand in Hong Kong, positioned at four-star or above, and the branch I'm talking about is located next to Ocean Park, in Wong Chuk Hang of the Southern District of Hong Kong. Wong Chuk Hang is a name I often heard on Hong Kong TV stations in the past, mainly because there is a rather famous hospital there. Whether the facilities are advanced is debatable, but the scale should be considerable. Ocean Park is also a Hong Kong attraction well-known to citizens from Mainland China. Like Disneyland, it is a likely destination when visiting Hong Kong. My family and I considered going to Ocean Park during our trip to Hong Kong, but eventually, due to ticket prices and other scheduling arrangements, we ended up visiting a big Buddha temple on Lantau Island instead. Having both a gym and a swimming pool, you know for sure it's at least a four-star hotel. Although it's closer to the mountains, this also proves that the air quality here is quite good. There are some industrial areas and many industrial buildings nearby, which means there will definitely be dining options, no matter the quantity. With such a large hotel here, how could there be no restaurants nearby? That's impossible. If you're in a hurry and don't want to eat a full meal, there are also 711 convenience stores and other chain or independent convenience stores nearby, as well as many Western-style cake shops and bakeries like Maxim's Cakes to choose from. Moreover, there are some villages and many residential complexes nearby, which will definitely have some dining outlets, although they may be smaller in scale compared to commercial areas. Even if there are more industrial shops, cities like Foshan, Dongguan, and Shenzhen have many industrial shops too! In fact, there is a famous Aberdeen Fish Market about two to three kilometers away by foot from the hotel. Since there is a fish market nearby, there will definitely be corresponding restaurants around the market. You can come here to taste fresh seafood from Hong Kong. Because it's a bit distant from commercial areas, the rooms here are bigger than those in Hong Kong's urban commercial area hotels, making them more comfortable to stay in and offering a higher cost-performance ratio. The current price of the hotel is just over 500 yuan. L'hotel is quite famous in Hong Kong. Think about it, even the non-four-star Metropark Hotel in many cities in China charges four to five hundred yuan per night for a basic room. Of course, those who always compare the size of hotel rooms or room rates in Mainland China's cities with those in Hong Kong's hotels probably don't really look down on Hong Kong's hotels! I have stayed in many hotels in Mainland China, including Shenzhen, and many of them have very small rooms. There are also many guesthouses that are not smart hotels! But on the other hand, Hong Kong people have higher incomes than those in Mainland China's cities, and they have more opportunities to travel abroad, so why don't they make their hotels smart? Logically, with the economic strength of groups like Sun Hung Kai, New World, Wharf, Lai Sun, Cheung Kong, and Henderson, which are not inferior to Mainland China's enterprises, and with the support of banks like Bank of East Asia, Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, HSBC, Hang Seng Bank, and Standard Chartered Bank, it should be easy to make money in the hotel industry in Hong Kong. Moreover, renovation and upgrading are common in the hotel industry, so why haven't they made hotels smart?
