A must-visit hidden gem in Hong Kong – The Mingle Place Hotel on the Island

My recent stay at the Mingle Place Hotel on the Island in Hong Kong was quite an experience. After getting off the subway, it was a bit tricky to find the hotel for the first time; you need to follow the map for a few hundred meters. Their reception is quite interesting too. We stayed for a day and saw three receptionists. One was a local who only spoke Cantonese, and there was a young lady who spoke Mandarin. There was also a foreign guy who only spoke English, but they were all very friendly. They were eager to help with any issues. The room wasn't big, but it wasn't too small either, which was acceptable. It had two single beds with clean sheets and covers. I've heard of people getting bitten in hotels, but there was no such issue here. There was a small fridge where we froze some water, a safe (which we didn't use), a hairdryer, and other essentials. There were USB ports for charging, so no worries about not having an adapter. Once you get used to it, the location of the hotel is actually quite convenient, close to various bus stations. If you want to go somewhere, there's a bus stop about 200 meters away from the hotel entrance. Located in the heart of Causeway Bay, it's convenient to get to from either the Causeway Bay or Tin Hau MTR stations. There are also several bus stops right below the hotel, and even the popular tram (which goes directly to Kennedy Town) has a stop nearby. It's only about a 10-minute walk to Hong Kong shopping landmarks like SOGO Department Store and Times Square. Victoria Park, the venue for the Hong Kong Flower Show held every March, is also just a 5-minute walk away. There are 24-hour convenience stores, supermarkets, snack bars, McDonald's, and more right below the hotel for your choice. Now, let's talk about the interior environment (staying in a deluxe room): The Mingle Place Hotel opened in 2023, and the overall environment and facilities are very new and complete. The room's bedding was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was not old and worn out. The small window sill in the deluxe room even offered a glimpse of the sea view, which was definitely a pleasant surprise! At the lobby reception, not only can you store your luggage for free, but there are also portable power banks available. There's no need to worry if you didn't bring an adapter.
