MacLehose Trail High Island Reservoir Tour

The MacLehose Trail is divided into 10 sections with a total length of 100 kilometers. Are they different? The route is decided by individuals. You can see the High Island Reservoir with the largest water storage capacity in Hong Kong. The end of Wanyi Road is the main dam, also known as the East Dam. The coast is dotted with hexagonal rock pillars that look like frozen waterfalls and are historical relics. Under the violent movement of the earth's crust, the unsolidified rock columns were twisted and folded, finally forming a huge natural mural. The wonders of nature are breathtaking. Another dam uses an anchor-shaped stone embankment to resist the waves, with a buffer zone in the middle. There are countless sea caves, broken islands, and geological attractions along the way. Visitors can take a bus to leave from Dongba. Start from Beitanyong, walk into Dongba or walk into Dongba and then return to the starting point. The whole journey is about 10 kilometers, or if you are lucky, you can take a taxi back to the starting point. If it is hot in the summer, the journey is quite long and there are not many shelters along the way. Be careful to prevent heatstroke in the hot summer. Bring enough water and a small amount of snacks as replenishment during the journey.
