Relive the glory days of the old Kai Tak Airport 🛫 @Airside「想飞」

The grand opening exhibition of AIRSIDE, a new shopping mall in Kai Tak, will be held in the ground floor, second floor atrium and third floor Gate33 Gallery. G/F - The eye-catching red and white "Beagle 100" is the first aircraft in Hong Kong to be displayed in the mall. AIRSIDE 2nd Floor Atrium For the first and second parts of the exhibition, “Take Off” and “Soaring,” a number of valuable historical collections lent by the Pacific Historical Archives, the Art Gallery of the Hong Kong Baptist University Library and the Government Image Database of the Government Information Department, as well as those of local collectors and senior pilots, are on display Private collections, including pilots’ precious flight logs, old airport photos, travel posters, flight maps, old tickets and boarding passes, will feature four old Kowloon City neighbors’ personal memories of the old airport, highlighting the community’s unique community sentiment towards Kai Tak Airport. 3rd Floor GATE33 Arts and Culture Museum For the third part of the exhibition, "Landing", I was most impressed by the video at the entrance of the exhibition hall simulating the level of noise when planes landed at the old Kai Tak Airport.
