Two restaurants opened at the White Heron Lake Interactive Center in Tai Po after renovation, one Chinese and one Western. The Western restaurant Billow was once hard to find. Waffle was more interested in the Chinese restaurant "Golden Heron Lake" and recently took advantage of the weekday holiday to have tea. Sit by the window and dine with the beautiful lake view to match your holiday mood. The mille-feuille bacon pastry ($42 each) looks exquisite, the bacon is not too small, interesting, the pastry is full of butter flavor, but not enough loose. The idyllic carrot thread pastry ($78) was looser than the bacon pastry and would be better a little hotter. The char siu filling of Honey Char Siu Sausage ($62) is very full and tastes good. The melted quail egg siu-mai ($78) is one of the signature dim sums of Golden Heron Lake. Unfortunately, the quail eggs were not as melted as expected. The color of the rose gold shrimp dumplings ($78) is beautiful, not superficial, the shrimp dumplings themselves are of good quality.
