Causeway Bay specialty ramen shop: Toyama Ramen

I have always loved ramen, so I wanted to try it when I heard that Toyama Noodle House in Causeway Bay was the champion of Japan’s Tokyo Ramen Show for five consecutive years. My friend and I went to their store and found out that they also have a collaboration with Rilakkuma, which is cheerful with lots of cute decorations and merchandise. Without waiting too long, we received our food and drinks. First, I tried the special milk ramen. This ramen is made with Okinawa pork cartilage and Japanese char siu as ingredients, and the broth is boiled with pork bones and milk. I think this soup is very rich, with the sweetness of milk and the freshness of pork bones, not too greasy. The texture of the ramen is bouncy, the char siu is soft and smooth, and the pork cartilage is chewy. There is also a thick fish fillet in the shape of Rilakkuma, which is very cute and delicious. I think this ramen is a very innovative combination and worth a try. Secondly, I tried the special ramen with sesame sauce. This ramen is Japanese-style barbecued pork as an ingredient, and the dipping sauce is sesame sauce. I found this topping to be very flavorful, with a sesame aroma. The dipping sauce is great for dipping ramen noodles. The texture of the ramen is as bouncy as milk ramen, and the char siu is very well seasoned. There is also a poached egg, which is beautiful and smooth. I think this ramen is suitable for those with heavy tastes. Finally, I tried the snack fried chicken with octopus rolls. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy; the octopus is charred on the outside and soft on the inside; both are served with a special sauce, which is very appetizing. As for the drinks, we had the special passion fruit soda and the special strawberry soda. Both of these drinks are served in glass bottles with Rilakkuma’s marshmallow heads, which are cute. The passion fruit soda has a sweet and sour taste that is very refreshing; the strawberry soda has a strong strawberry flavor and is very sweet. Both are very thirst-quenching and suitable for drinking with ramen. Finally, Rilakkuma merchandise can now be purchased with any in-store purchase.
