Recently, this unique flower was discovered hanging from a tree on the Yuanquan Ancient Trail. Its special shape and clusters of flowers resemble birds resting on the tree, making it a highly valuable sight to behold! Recently, a big tree on the Yuanquan Ancient Trail has grown many Chinese Violet flowers. The flowers grow on each flower cluster, forming a spectacular Chinese Violet waterfall. The unique shape, combined with the green and yellow flowers, feels like a bunch of bananas or a flock of birds, with a very special posture. In addition, Chinese Violet flowers are not common in Hong Kong, so they have attracted many passers-by to take pictures and leave memories for them! Chinese violet, also known as oil vine, blooms from March to April each year. It is famous for its cute bird-like appearance. Its bell-shaped calyx is the "head", the upper lobe is the "wings", and the lower wing lobes and the middle keel lobes are the "body". Recently, a "white Chinese violet" was discovered on the Yuan Tsuen Ancient Trail, which is a local native species and also a rare and endangered species. Currently, it can only be seen in a few specific places in Hong Kong, and is therefore listed as one of the 100 rare and precious plants in Hong Kong by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. Walk for 30 to 40 minutes on Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail Country Trail and you will see Adenostemma viscosum on both sides of the forked road.
