#Shatin #Che Kung Temple is known as one of the four major #temples in Hong Kong along with #Sheung Wan Man Mo Temple, #Wong Tai Sin Temple, and #Sai Kung Fo Tong Mun Tin Hau Temple. Every year on the second day of the Lunar New Year, Che Kung Festival is celebrated, and the temple is crowded with devotees. There is a huge golden statue of Che Gong in the temple, which is said to commemorate the Southern Song Dynasty general Che Da Yuanshuai. There are also windmills for praying and making wishes.
