Explore the secrets of Lamma Island

My child’s father’s college classmates came to Hong Kong for a visit, and we made an appointment to go to Lamma Island together. This is our fourth time on the island, exploring different secrets. Lamma Island is the fourth largest island in Hong Kong. It is named Lamma Island because it is located in the south of Hong Kong and its shape resembles the Chinese character "丫". Chow Yun-fat (Fat Ge), who is very familiar to those born in the 1980s, was born on Lamma Island and is probably the most famous person on the island. Transportation to Lamma Island is also very convenient. It takes about 30 minutes to take a ferry from Central Pier 4. There are two piers to the island, namely Sok Yuen Wan and Yung Shue Wan. This time we took our friends to the island from Yung Shue Wan. Yung Shue Wan has distinctive Chinese and Western teahouses and restaurants, and the village houses lining the streets and alleys are also full of Western style. The child loves the sea very much, so we went to Hung Shing Yeh Beach first. The child’s father chatted with his old classmates, and I watched the child playing in the waves on the rocks. Walking to Sochi Bay, we saw a group of foreigners celebrating their child’s birthday at the intersection. This little game is very interesting. Seal up the candies that all children like, and then the children take turns to hit them with small wooden sticks. The candies that fall out can be theirs. The game was novel and the children had a lot of fun. We watched from the sidelines and gave the children a candy to join in the fun. This is my fourth time hiking this route. The first time, my child was just two years old. He slept well despite the bumps along the way as we pushed the stroller. At the fork in the road, we saw a signpost saying "Hong Kong Youth Association Lamma Youth Camp" and decided to change the route this time. Unexpectedly, we discovered the secrets of Lamma Island. The forest was quiet and breeze-filled. The child picked up a large pine cone and a piece of wood that looked like a scepter. Walk all the way down and discover another beautiful view from the top. The view is wide, and you can see the occasional boat passing by on the calm sea, and the waves it stirs up are like stars across the Milky Way; you can also see rows of fishing boats used by fishermen for offshore aquaculture, and we wonder what kind of delicious seafood is raised under these boats. Before I knew it, I had walked down the mountain and there were several seafood restaurants at the entrance of the village. I have tried the most famous Rainbow Seafood, so this time I brought my friends to try other restaurants. We ordered a set meal for four people, selecting four items from the ten menus, plus the standard steamed sea fish, six dishes + fried rice + drinks + fruits, for 768 Hong Kong dollars, and we enjoyed a delicious seafood meal at a seafood stall. The deep fried abalone topped with a thick layer of fried rice was very delicious. This fried rice is first dried in a pan, then fried in oil and sprinkled with seasoning. The abalone is plump and has a crispy and tender texture after being fried. Salt and pepper squid dipped in sweet and sour spicy sauce, so delicious! King prawns in tomato sauce is a very suitable dish for children, the shrimp meat is fresh and tender.
