Hong Kong | Glass and red bricks, a new art space in the bustling city.

In a corner of the bustling market in North Point, there is a low-key urban art space that is perfect for viewing exhibitions and historical architecture, as well as basking in the sun and relaxing ☀️☀️☀️. When it comes to art spaces in Hong Kong, most people may first think of Tai Kwun and PMQ in Central, or the M+ Museum and Palace Museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District. However, "Oi!" in North Point has always existed quietly, and I only found out about this place last year 🤣🤣. The predecessor of "Oi!" was the clubhouse of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, established in 1908. In 2013, the historic building was revitalized and restored for use as a public art space, and was renamed "Oi!". In 2019, "Oi!" underwent an expansion plan, adding over 3,000 square meters of outdoor space and modern buildings for exhibitions and events. The overall area of "Oi!" is not large, and it takes about 1-2 hours to visit, but there are many corners worth stopping and appreciating 👍🏼👍🏼. The most representative red brick building is the Oi! Warehouse, which has been transformed by art and creativity after years of baptism and revitalization, and is a unique and beautiful building. The grassy area in front of the building is my favorite space, with a few chairs placed on the lawn. In this artistic oasis, you can relax, bask in the sun, and chat, which is a very thoughtful design ⛱️⛱️⛱️. The connection between glass and red brick contrasts the past and the future. The Oi! Glass House is a new building that was born after the expansion plan, and it is also the center for art exhibitions and events, complementing the Oi! Warehouse across the street. There are many interesting corners, such as the Oi! Bookstore, Oi! Kitchen, and Oi!
