"The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao Whisky" is the brand's first exquisite gift box packaged in a fully recyclable and biodegradable product. It is carefully made from cocoa pods, a natural byproduct of the chocolate production process, combining The Macallan's famous craftsmanship with modern packaging technology that is committed to reducing waste. Speaking of flavour, to create the first of this new limited edition series, which will be released one per year, The Macallan Whisky Master Polly Logan travelled to Girona, Spain for a unique journey of inspiration. There, she immersed herself in the world of chocolate, explored the chocolate-making process, and carefully tasted chocolates of different flavors. Polly is working with world-renowned pastry chef Jordi Roca, the youngest of the three Roca brothers who run the acclaimed, premium Spanish restaurant El Celler de Can Roca and a long-time partner of The Macallan. As part of her discovery trip, Polly visited Jordi’s famous chocolate factory, Casa Cacao, in Girona, and spoke with master chocolate maker Damian Allsop. Through this unique experience, Polly drew inspiration from the passion, knowledge and creativity of the duo to create The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao Whisky. She sourced unique sherry oak casks from The Macallan estate to give the whisky a rare, intoxicating chocolate note. To create this whisky, Polly discovered a special chocolate note in The Macallan’s traditional European oak sherry casks, and combined it with the vanilla flavor imparted by American oak sherry casks, making the slightly bitter chocolate flavor even sweeter. This exquisite single malt whisky can be tasted with chocolate, so The Macallan also prepared a specially made giant extra-strong dark chocolate "cocoa bean" that day. Inside the chocolate shell, there are five chocolates representing the taste of The Macallan Harmony, including dark chocolate, honey, red dates, vanilla and cinnamon flavors. From November 16 to December 12, the public can visit the special exhibition dedicated to this new whisky from 11am to 9pm daily, and experience the dark chocolate, honey, red dates, vanilla and cinnamon flavors of the whisky with their taste buds, and use the AR app to play games to test whether their taste buds are sensitive 👃🏻, and then taste the harmonious and rich fusion with the world of chocolate. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : :
