I went to Hong Kong 4 times and I thoroughly recommend it! It’s a must go city in Asia and I will definitely go to HK again. What to see in the city of skyscrapers: 1. Number one will definitely be Victoria Peak! This is the place to see an unparalleled view of Hong Kong. The views are just stunning and unforgettable. At the top of Peak Tower you will find plenty of restaurants and shops. I went to The Peak by city bus. 2. The Star Ferry. The ferries are as much an icon of Hong Kong as the skyscrapers! The main route links Hong Kong Island and Kowloon and they’re also a great way to see the city from the water. By traveling by ferry you will get a real taste of Chinese life on board with commuters and tourists all mixed together. The crossing is very cheap too. I guess it was around 2 Hong Kong dollars one way. You can catch the ferry at the Central Star Ferry Pier. 3. Avenue of Stars. It’s on Kowloon just along from the ferry port around the outside of the New World Centre. This walkway provides the best sea level view of Hong Kong Island. 4. Harbour Light Show. This is the grandest free light show I ever saw. Every night at 8pm, 44 buildings on both sides of the Victoria Harbour synchronise their lights and show off lasers in time with music. 5. Lantau Island. This island is home to the world’s tallest seated outdoor bronze Buddha. 6. Street Markets. Temple Street Night Market and the Ladies Market are Hong Kong’s most famous markets, and both offer variations of the same thing: trinkets, knock-offs, and electronics. 7. Disneyland. If you’ve never visited Disneyland you can do it in Hong Kong. Its located on the Lantau Island. The Disneyland in Hong Kong has its special attractions and the inimitable sense of Chinese culture. Shopping: The Temple Street night market is the most famous, and the best, selling everything from antiques to noodles.
