Hoi An Coconut Boat Review: A Lively Experience

We took a car from the Old Quarter to Cam Thanh Village, a famous coconut boat embarkation point surrounded by natural mangrove forests. Upon arrival, we saw round, winnowing basket-like boats (called thung chai) filling the river. The boat owners, wearing traditional hats, were waiting with friendly smiles. As soon as we boarded, we began paddling through the mangrove forest. The atmosphere was wonderful: cool breezes, warm sunshine, and the reflections of trees on the water provided beautiful photos. Along the way, there were exciting boat spinning shows! Some boats spun so much that passengers burst into laughter. Others even performed crab-catching shows, paddled the boats to Vietnamese music, or even danced to live music.
