The enchanting lantern-lit streets of Hoi An

Walking through the streets of Hoi An, I was immediately captivated by its beauty and warm atmosphere. The historic buildings in the old town, which seem to have stopped in time, create a charming and lively space. The unique architectural style, a blend of French, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese cultures, gives each building an exotic feel. While Hoi An is charming during the day, the nighttime scenery is truly exceptional. As dusk falls, lanterns begin to light up all over the city, creating a magical landscape. The sight of lanterns floating along the river and reflecting on the water is breathtaking, and just walking around is soothing. The lantern shops scattered throughout the old town allow you to choose your own lantern, making for a popular souvenir. One of the attractions of Hoi An is the delicious Vietnamese cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the local specialty noodle dish called 'Cao Lau.' The combination of thick noodles, savory pork, and crispy vegetables was exquisite, and I understood why it is loved by the locals. As I walked through the streets, I was repeatedly tempted by the delicious aromas wafting from the food stalls and restaurants. Another highlight was the 'Japanese Bridge (Lai Vien Kieu),' which has deep ties to Japan. Built by the Japanese in the 17th century, knowing its historical background made me feel a closer connection between Hoi An and Japan. The area around the bridge is filled with picturesque spots, and tourists were constantly taking commemorative photos. Hoi An is a beautiful place where every corner offers picturesque scenery, and you can feel the history, culture, and warmth of the people. It was a special trip that made me want to visit again.
