Hohhot: A City of Faith, Food, and Grasslands

Hohhot, a city with a long history and splendid culture Here, you can find not only rich historical sites and vast grasslands but also a variety of delicious foods - a paradise for lamb lovers. Today, I share with you my travel diary of Hohhot~ Day 1 - After a long journey, let's take a walk around the city center of Hohhot. I recommend two attractions: Dazhao Temple 卍 Dazhao Temple 卍 - Leave behind the hustle and bustle of the world and feel the power of faith Dazhao Temple is a Tibetan Buddhist temple where both Emperor Shunzhi and Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty once stayed. It was known as the "Imperial Temple" during the Qing Dynasty. The silver Buddha, dragon carvings, and murals are known as the "Three Wonders" of the temple. If you are a fan of Buddhism, you must not miss it! (It is said that those who enjoy learning about Buddhism often possess a special quality: a deep reverence and curiosity for life and the universe.) Little tips: 1. No photography is allowed inside Dazhao Temple 2. Free incense is provided in the temple Saishang Old Street ۞ Saishang Old Street - Go out with interest and experience the aesthetics of life Saishang Old Street is an ancient commercial street in Hohhot with a history of over 400 years. It is a paradise for intangible cultural heritage enthusiasts, with a wide variety of leather goods and Mongolian handicrafts, each showcasing the spirit of craftsmanship. There are also local specialty foods that can be given as gifts to friends and family~ Day 2 - When in Inner Mongolia, you must visit the grasslands Huitengxile Grassland ☼ Huitengxile Grassland ☼ - White clouds like galloping horses, a place without a ceiling Huitengxile Grassland is a highland wetland where both Genghis Khan's son and Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty once visited. It features vast lands, blue skies, and white clouds. Riding a horse and strolling through the grasslands and flower fields is the biggest surprise of this trip~ Day 3 - Xiangshawan ☾ Xiangshawan ☽ - Do you like listening to the cicadas in summer? Xiangshawan is a 5A-level scenic spot located at the eastern end of the Kubuqi Desert. It is known as the "singing sand" because the friction of the sand grains produces a roaring sound. When the fine sand flows over your feet, it really makes a buzzing sound, like listening to a "concert" in the desert.
