Dong Hoi is a street of old colonial buildings, high-end boutiques, famous brand stores, expensive hotels, wonderful cafes and restaurants. Here are some of the main architectural sights of the city - the Opera House, the Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral. There is another well-known place on this street - the Givral cafe, which has been popular since the 1950s. During the Vietnam War, international journalists, writers and photographers often gathered here. The original building was demolished in 2010.
