Dinner at Sansou Tansui in Hita, Oita Prefecture

Sansou Tansui, located in Hita City, Oita Prefecture, is a highly-rated inn in Kyushu. Dinner started with a surprising welcome from irises, which was quite unexpected. The sashimi and young sweetfish were particularly delicious. While the dishes were not extravagant, each one was carefully prepared, and the flavors were excellent. The overall satisfaction was high, and the private dining room allowed us to enjoy our time at a relaxed pace. There was a special set for comparing three types of Oita's local junmai sake, offering a delightful experience of tasting both dry and sweet varieties from the region. Even for someone like me who doesn't usually drink, it was a pleasant way to discover a favorite sake. I somehow managed to make it to the sukiyaki course, but my stomach was absolutely full.
