[Tokikawa Onsen, Saitama] Is it like soaking in lotion? Only four groups can stay at this inn per day, and it's the most alkaline onsen in Japan.

I went to Tokikawa Ryokan in Tokikawa Onsen, which I had been curious about!!!! ⁡ It's a little pricey, as it costs just over 10,000 yen per person for a 4-hour private onsen (including kaiseki cuisine), but the onsen is amazing, and the food is delicious, so it's a day trip inn that you'll want to go to again and again 🥹🧡 ⁡ ◾️Onsen A highly alkaline onsen with a pH of 11.3! My skin feels smooth even after I've been in the onsen. Even after getting out, it doesn't dry out your skin at all, and it's at a level where you want to bathe every day 🤤 It's 100% natural spring water, with no water added or circulation, so it's nice to be able to bathe in a clean, real hot spring!!! By the way, the source water is only 15 degrees, so it's heated to 40 degrees 👀 ⁡ They have face masks that you can wash off with hot water, and the service of being able to apply a hot spring mask while bathing in the hot spring was so great that I wish other inns had this service too!!!
