The autumn leaves at Mt. Asahi will soon begin to change color.

It was a little early for the autumn foliage season, but in about two weeks the leaves will change color the earliest in Japan. You can park your car at the visitor's center at the base and take the ropeway all the way to the top. It's a bit of a hike to the peak, but there are easy walking courses around the ropeway station that even beginners can enjoy, and you can enjoy exploring the marshes while taking in the magnificent snow-capped mountain range. I tried out the VR experience at the visitor's center at the base of the mountain, and was very impressed with how well worth it it was. #breathtakingview
