Leek Flat. On August 21-22 and September 5-6, 2023, I went to Leek Flat twice. The first time was with my family. I wore a short-sleeved shirt and a sun-protective shirt for the whole journey. The second time was a company team building activity. The weather was very good, with blue sky, white clouds, and bright sunshine. The wind was cool and comfortable, and the intensity of the ultraviolet rays was not to be underestimated. Many of my companions got sunburned. The leek flat at this time is in full bloom, but it is far from as lush as the flowers in the promotional video. The locals say that the wild leek flowers were indeed beautiful before they were developed, but human activities have a fatal impact on them. Leek Flat has two scenic area entrances and exits: the east gate and the west gate. You can take a cable car, a sightseeing car, or walk to the core scenic area from the east gate. The cable car can take you directly to the top of the mountain. The round trip is 80 yuan, and the one-way trip is 40 yuan, which can be purchased separately; after the sightseeing car goes up the mountain, you need to walk a section of the mountain stairs to reach the top of the mountain. The round trip is 45 yuan, and you can also buy a one-way ticket. Generally, you take the cable car up and the sightseeing car down to save energy. Actually, I recommend entering the scenic area from the west gate. Buy a 20 yuan/person sunset ticket at the foot of the west gate mountain and drive to the west gate parking lot on the top of the mountain. Make up the difference from the west gate to buy a leek flat ticket to enter the core scenic area. The scenic area closes at 5 o'clock, so you need to arrange your time well. The road up the mountain is all mountain roads, and the road conditions are still good. After the tour, wait for the sunset at the west gate. There is nothing to eat or stay at the west gate. After watching the sunset, you have to go down the mountain. When the weather is good, the distant mountains before sunset are like an ink painting. The beauty seen by the eyes cannot be recorded by the camera. Watching the sun slowly disappear into the clouds, the sky gradually darkens and feels the passage of time. Remember to wear more when watching the sunset. As the sun sets, it's really cold on the mountain. The hands of the companions were all cold.
