A place in Heyuan suitable for zoning out

For Labor Day, Guangdong welcomed continuous rain, so I chose the off-the-beaten-path Wanlv Lake for a reverse tourism experience. There's no other reason but the vastness of the lake, always hiding some ecologically pristine spots, and after navigating around the lake, I finally settled on Xichang Town. The lake in the scenic area is opposite —It takes a little over 2 hours to get there from Shenzhen, with the last hour on rural roads that are great for mountain biking enthusiasts (be mindful of minor landslides during the rainy season) —Upon reaching Xichang Town, don't expect any shops, restaurants, or any form of commerce —Scattered nearby are some homestays and farm stays, ranging from simple to luxurious. I chose the one in the picture online for its nice living environment. The road there was winding and seemed run-down, but it turned out to be a hidden gem of a homestay. —To put it simply, it opened last year, the furniture is solid wood and feels quality, and the rooms are clean—there's a 6kw charging pile (the only one), just enough to feed my 007 —Both breakfast and dinner are great (made by the owner's family), remember to tell the owner in advance to prepare ingredients, otherwise, you'll realize that finding a place to eat nearby is a problem —Plenty of entertainment activities (standard for local homestays), such as paddleboarding, bamboo rafting, bamboo shoot digging, fishing, etc., and there's no shortage of fun when the weather is good. The fees are all similar Planning a two-day, one-night trip to Wanlv Lake, the tranquility of the first day was satisfying, and now I'm off to today's tourist journey—Wanlv Lake Scenic Area (by the way, it takes 2 hours of mountain driving to get to Wanlv Lake Scenic Area, a treat for car enthusiasts, both sedans and SUVs can handle it, just remember to be safe.
