Yongzhen Building in Linzhai Ancient Village

Yongzhen Building is a four-corner building built in the early days of Linzhai Ancient Village. It was built by Chen Xingtang, a candidate for the fourth-rank prefecture of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in Linzhai Ancient Village, Linzhai Town, Heping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. There are many ancient buildings with four-corner buildings around, which together with ancient alleys and ancient wells form a unique ancient village landscape. Yongzhen Building is the tallest building in the ancient village, with a unique shape. There are watchtowers at the four corners, which are 8 to 10 meters high. The main building is a three-entry courtyard hall layout, covering a large area. The halls in the house are connected, and the buildings are connected. The winding paths are secluded, the houses are connected, the watchtower passages, water wells, stables, and other facilities are all available. There are defensive facilities and corridors on the top of the building, which are easy to defend and difficult to attack when encountering enemies.
