A Visit to Helsinki

#northerneurope My trip to Helsinki was a wonderful blend of history, modern architecture, and the calm atmosphere of the north. I began at the Senate Square, where the white Helsinki Cathedral dominates the skyline and immediately sets the tone of the city. From there, I walked down towards the harbor, where the market buzzed with life and the sea breeze reminded me how close Helsinki is tied to the water. One of the highlights was the modern Oodi Library – an impressive space that combines Finnish design, culture, and community life. I also took the ferry to Suomenlinna, the fortress spread across several islands, where I enjoyed the mix of history and stunning views over the Baltic Sea. Helsinki struck me as clean, peaceful, and welcoming. With its greenery, proximity to the sea, and friendly atmosphere, it felt like a place where tradition and modern living coexist in perfect balance. #thingstodo #travel #finland
