[Finland🇫🇮] The happiest country in the world!? How to spend a day in Helsinki ☕

Finland is a "happy country" that regularly ranks in the world happiness rankings. Its capital, Helsinki, is a quiet, beautiful, tasteful cityscape and full of nature. This time, we will introduce a "healing Helsinki 1-day course" that even first-time visitors can enjoy at a leisurely pace 🫶 [9:00] Morning stroll around the market square 🌊🍓 "Market Square (Kauppatori)" in the port of Helsinki is the kitchen of the citizens, bustling from the morning. Start by feeling the local atmosphere while looking at fresh berries, salmon, and cute miscellaneous goods stalls ☀️ ☕ We recommend a breakfast of Finnish cinnamon rolls "korvapuusti" + coffee at the attached food stall cafe! [10:30] Immerse yourself in a world of white and blue at Helsinki Cathedral ⛪✨ Just a short distance from the port, the pure white cathedral stands in the center of the city. This beautiful building can be said to be the "face of Helsinki", and the contrast with the blue sky is just like a postcard! 📸 Sitting on the stairs and relaxing is a Nordic way to spend time♪ [11:30] Explore Nordic design at Marimekko and Iittala flagship stores🛍️🎨 A must-see for fashion lovers, a tour of the headquarters of Nordic brands! 📍Spots to stop by: •Marimekko store + outlet (a little out of town) •Iittala & Arabia shop (a wide variety of tableware and miscellaneous goods) •Finlayson, Moomin shop, and more! 🎁 Perfect for treating yourself or looking for souvenirs♪ [13:00] Warm up with a traditional lunch of "salmon soup"🫕 Speaking of Helsinki's specialty gourmet food... The thick and gentle milk-based "Lohikeitto" (salmon soup)! 📍Recommended cafes: •"Kappeli" (a long-established cafe) •"Ravintola Story" (a stylish restaurant in the market hall) Bread is included to warm your stomach and your heart✨ [14:30] Experience "Finnish-style happiness" with a sauna experience! Saunas are a part of life for Finns. There are many public saunas in Helsinki that anyone can easily experience! 📍2 recommendations: •Löyly: A modern sauna facing the sea. Cool down while feeling the sea breeze on the outdoor deck🌊 •Allas Sea Pool: A sense of openness with sauna, heated pool, and a spectacular view of the Baltic Sea! 💡No reservations required, swimsuits OK, and mostly unisex, so it's tourist-friendly◎ [17:00] Relax at Esplanade Park or take a walk along the seaside In the afternoon, spend some time relaxing at Esplanade Park in the center of the city. It's nice to see people relaxing on the grass while listening to street music♪ Alternatively, we recommend a walk around Kaivopuisto Park and Olympia Terminal by the sea🚶♀️ [19:00] Finish with a Nordic dinner and craft beer🍻 In the evening, enjoy a little luxury at a Nordic modern restaurant or a bistro that uses local ingredients✨ 📍Recommended: • "Ravintola Nolla": A sustainable restaurant with zero waste • "Sandro": A stylish restaurant with a wide selection of vegetarian dishes • "Olu Bryki Raum": A pub where you can enjoy local beer Summary! 🕊️ ✔ Sightseeing, shopping, and nature are all within walking and tram distance ✔ Less crowded, time passes slowly ✔ Delicious, warm, and comfortable = Happiness Index MAX✨ Helsinki is the perfect city for a "day to pamper yourself" or a "mental detox trip" Please experience such a trip surrounded by Nordic kindness💙 #OverseasTravelStrategy #EuropeTravel #Helsinki #HelsinkiSightseeing

The statue is worth mentioning and seeing. For an average visitor it could initially be just a statue with a fountain but for Finnish people it has much more significance. Every time Finland is able to win an important gold medal especially in ice hockey, people gather around the statue and climb to it and swim in the surrounding pool. There is also a habit of putting a graduation hat to the statue every year 30th of April at 6pm which marks the start of the May Day celebration. You can expect to see many people gathering around the statue at that time. There are some concerns that the old and hollow statue might not sustain the loads caused by the people celebrating and climbing on it so the city authorities have been trying to preserve the statue during past years. #createwithtrip #culturewalk #helsinki #finland #statue
