The Helsinki Christmas Market, recognized by CNN Travel as one of the best in the world, is open from December 1st to 22nd this year. The market features a carousel, Finnish handicrafts, and traditional festive foods like glögi, a warm mulled wine. A popular treat is the freshly fried donuts, which often have long queues, though I opted for a bag of roasted chestnuts this time, enjoying their natural flavor. After exploring the market, I warmed up at the nearby El Fant café with a seasonal Christmas drink, and the owner kindly offered a gingerbread cookie.
