Luoshi Park in Hexian

Mountains are not renowned for their height but for the presence of immortals within. Waters are not distinguished by their depth but by the dragons that dwell in them. This is a humble abode, yet it is fragrant with virtue. Moss traces green upon the stairs, grass hues seep into the curtains' blue. Amidst laughter, great scholars converse; to and fro, no commoners pass. One may play the plain zither, peruse the golden scriptures. Confucius said: 'What is there to find fault with in simplicity?' —Inscription on the Humble Room by Liu Yuxi (Tang Dynasty) Luoshi Park is located in the Hecheng district of Hexian, Ma'anshan, Anhui, named after the famous 'Humble Room' within the park, covering an area of about 70 acres. It was completed and opened in May 1992, and has been free to the public since 2007; in 2016, Luoshi Park, in conjunction with Zhenhuai Ancient Street, was rated as a national AAA tourist attraction; in 2018, the park underwent landscape and greening enhancements. The renovated park features a water system, mountains, and a large area of garden greenery, with attractions such as the Humble Room, Wen Temple, Ji Gate, Juxian Mountain, Dragon Pool, and the Stele Corridor.
