🇩🇪 First Stop in Germany: Hanover!

#summervacay Hanover was my first city in Germany — capital of Lower Saxony, best known for its industrial fairs, but in reality? A super chill and peaceful city to explore 🧳✨ 📍 As soon as you step out of the main train station, swing by the Tourist Info Center to grab a small city guide. Then you’re all set to follow the iconic Red Line Citywalk — it literally leads you around town like a treasure map 🗺️ The whole city is dotted with churches — walking through Hanover kinda feels like hopping from one little chapel to the next. 💫 My highlight? The New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus). A stunning Baroque palace with Neo-Renaissance vibes. It even has a tilted dome elevator that takes you to the top — supposedly one-of-a-kind in Europe! Sadly it was closed when I visited 😢 but still so worth admiring from below. 🧡 Don’t miss the lake area near Maschsee — perfect for a sunset stroll. There’s even a “lover’s lock” section on the railings. And in the city center, I stumbled upon some super cool surfers — in Hanover?!
