The Hangzhou Museum was formerly the Hangzhou History Museum, which was completed and opened in October 2001. At the end of 2011, Hangzhou History Museum was renamed Hangzhou Museum. Hangzhou Museum is divided into South and North Buildings. The North Hall is "Treasures of Hangzhou - Exhibition of Fine Cultural Relics in the Collection", which consists of five themes: Natural Treasures, Brilliant Design, Calligraphy and Painting, Elegant Leisure, and A Small Space; the South Hall is "The Most Memorable Hangzhou - Exhibition of Hangzhou History and Culture".
