🌸 Discovering Sakura Ice Cream in Shanghai

Delicate cherry petals float gracefully in the air, creating a magical scene that signals the arrival of cherry blossom season in Shanghai! From early to mid-April, the cherry blossoms in Shanghai reach their peak bloom. This is the perfect time to try beautiful flower-themed ice creams at Century Park, and of course, take an Instagram-worthy photo with them. There are six different flower options to choose from: sakura (cherry blossom) ice cream in both small and large versions, handmade hydrangeas, peony, sunflower, and camellia. For kids, there are also cartoon-themed ice creams like panda, lamb, piggy, Mr. Banana, and Little Elephant. We tried the sakura ice cream (39 RMB), which came with cute, edible pink flowers on top. We also had to try the sunflower ice cream (30 RMB), which featured a larger yellow edible flower on top. The flowers are edible, easy to bite, and made from sweet bean pulp. Both of our ice creams had a vanilla flavor. I really appreciated the plastic holder that came with the ice creams, so you don't have to worry about your hands getting dirty as the ice cream melts.
