Hiking to the Top of Beigao Peak in Hangzhou: A Memorable Blood Moon and a Worthwhile Sprain

Hangzhou is a picturesque city with no towering mountains to look up to, but if you want to go hiking, Beigao Peak in the West Lake Scenic Area is definitely a great choice. In early December, I set my first hiking destination here and walked step by step along the Xishan Trail to the top of the mountain. Speaking of hiking, I have climbed Zijin Mountain before, which is indeed quite high. Beigao Peak is not as high, but it is not easy to climb, and I think it is as difficult as Zijin Mountain. I finally reached the top of the mountain after 45 minutes of hard work. The view from the top of the mountain is so beautiful and open that it makes you feel relaxed and happy. But the wind is a bit strong and cold. The First God of Wealth Temple on the top of the mountain is ancient and seems to tell a thousand-year-old story. What surprised me most was that I saw a blood moon on the top of the mountain, and the red moon was really special. When I went down the mountain, most tourists chose to take the cable car for convenience. I wanted to experience the fun of hiking, but I accidentally sprained my foot. Well, this is a little episode of this hiking trip. But then again, life is like this, with ups and downs, surprises and joys, which is what makes it exciting!
