One-day round trip from Shanghai to Hangzhou to visit West Lake Lingyin Temple and Hefang Street丨Guide

A one-day round trip from Shanghai to Hangzhou to visit the West Lake, Lingyin Temple and Hefang Street I took an old friend from Shanghai to visit Hangzhou on the weekend. Since he only had one day, I took him to the three main scenic spots: West Lake, Lingyin Temple, and Hefang Street. 1⃣️ We met at the Jiaotong University subway station at 6:30 in the morning, arrived at the waiting hall of Hongqiao Railway Station at about 7 o'clock, and then immediately changed to the earliest high-speed train we could take (having bought other train tickets in advance), and arrived at Hangzhou East Station at around 8:20. 2⃣️ Our classmates in Hangzhou picked us up at the East Station. According to the green travel plan agreed in advance, we took Metro Line 4 to Fengqi Road Station and arrived at the Broken Bridge of West Lake at about 9 o'clock. 3⃣️ We looked and took pictures along the way on Baidi Bridge. We all like taking photos, so we had a pretty detailed tour. Don't miss the statue of Lu Xun, the Fanghe Pavilion, Qiu Jin's tomb, the Xiling Seal Society, etc. 4⃣️ The temperature today is suitable, so we walked relatively fast on the ordinary roads. After visiting the tombs of Su Xiaoxiao and Wu Song, we went to Yuewang Temple. I have visited West Lake five or six times, and today is my first time to enter Yuewang Temple. 5⃣️ After a walk around Quyuan Fenghe, we maintained a steady walking speed along the Su Causeway. We sat for a while by the lake near Su Causeway Chunxiao and Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. We finished visiting Su Causeway at around 12 o'clock. 6⃣️ After coming out of Su Causeway, I headed straight for Leifeng Pagoda. I had no interest in going up, so I just looked at it from outside and then went to Jingci Temple opposite. A classmate video-called his child and taught him to recite the ancient poem "Seeing Off Lin Zifang at Dawn from Jingci Temple", but his child seemed more interested in Leifeng Pagoda. 7⃣️ At 12:30 noon, we took bus No. 1314 opposite Jingci Temple. It took about half an hour and arrived at Lingyin Temple East Station just after 1 o'clock. After seeing the statues on Feilai Peak, we entered Lingyin Temple. After burning incense, they went to buy the Eighteen Seeds of Lingyin Temple, while I went to queue up at the vegetarian noodle restaurant. The line for noodles was very long and I waited for more than half an hour before I could eat. It made up for my regret of not being able to eat it last time. 8⃣️ After coming out of Lingyin Temple, we continued to visit Yongfu Temple. If I were to simply travel by foot, I would prefer Yongfu Temple. In July, I walked around it completely under the scorching sun. Today, the weather is so good, so I should take a good look around it. 9⃣️ It was already dark when we came out of Feilaifeng Scenic Area. We took bus 7W for about 1 hour to the terminal station Wushan Square and arrived at Hefang Street. It was about 6 o'clock in the evening. We were not interested in the various shops and snacks here. We mainly looked at the copper houses and street scenes, and then found an old shop in front of the Drum Tower to eat. 🔟 After dinner, I walked along the old street to digest the food, then went to Ding'an Road subway station and took Line 1 to Hangzhou East Railway Station. As usual, I chose the earliest train and started my return journey. I arrived at Hongqiao Railway Station at 9:30 pm, and the trip ended successfully.
