Bella Goose

#songkran2024 Bella Goose is a hip and happening spot that is popular with the younger expat and traveling crowd. The menu is interesting, with many good choices. You order at the counter, and the staff delivers your food to your table. It was pretty busy when we went, but the service was quicker than I thought. My friend ordered the chicken wrap. It was delicious, but we did note that although she had specified 'crispy' chicken, her's was the 'normal' chicken. However, the wanton chips were outstanding and made up for this minor oversight. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Frankly, I've had better. The waffle lacked a certain crispiness, and the chicken was overdone strips rather than the lovely buttermilk fried chicken I am used to getting in the Southern USA. The syrup was not warm, and the portion needed to be larger. When I splurge on a massive calorie dish like chicken and waffles, I want an extraordinary experience. In this case, it was 'meh.' I was tempted to give Bella Goose a 3-star rating for food but bumped it up to 4 stars for the wanton chips and the variety of menu choices. Next time, I'll have something different. But overall, this is a place worth another shot, hence the 4-star rating.
