Handan: Embrace history at Congtai Park.

Congtai Park is as lively as ever. Besides tourists taking photos, it's also a great place for locals to stroll and relax. It is now a provincial cultural protection unit and a national 4A scenic spot. The Wuling Congtai in the park is one of Handan's landmark buildings. Wuling Congtai Congtai was first built during the reign of King Wuling of Zhao during the Warring States Period. It was an important place for reviewing troops and watching singing and dancing. The existing three-story blue brick platform is a relic from the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, and the steps retain the original structure of Tongzhi. The scenic area is roughly divided into Park + Congtai + Stele Forest + Memorial Hall of Qin Shi Huang's place of birth. The Stele Forest is combined with the Temple of the Seven Sages. It was officially opened to the public in 1991. There are 44 existing steles, covering the Tang, Song, Ming, Qing and Republic of China periods. The key ones include He Hongjing's Epitaph (imitation), Ming Zhang Guoyan and his wife's Epitaph, Emperor Qianlong's Imperial Stele, and Guo Moruo's Poetry Stele. The number of tourists in the park is amazing. There are many Trip Moments (Warring States robes) in the core area of Congtai. The entire park is well-planned. As soon as you enter the east gate, there are people dancing and singing, which is very lively. I remember that it used to cost CNY 5 to come to Congtai before, but this time it seems to be free to enter and exit. If you come to Handan, you must check in at Congtai. This is also the spiritual totem of the Zhao State of Handan.
