It was built in 1997 and was renovated and expanded during the epidemic, including the villa area, Qingliu Pavilion, and the new Nagomi Onsen. Hanamaki Onsen is one of the best hot spring areas in the Tohoku region, offering travelers a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle and relax. 🗻The interior of the building was designed by shrine carpenters who were mainly involved in the construction of shrines and temples. It is headed by the lattice ceiling, and there are also Japanese sliding doors, lattice windows, etc. There are ingenious designs everywhere, and you can feel the beauty of Japanese architecture and the warm atmosphere of natural wood. 🗻The hot spring water of Youxiangyuan comes from the century-old "Yama no God Hot Spring". The spring water is rich in minerals and has the effect of soothing the body and mind and moisturizing the skin. There are now three hot spring baths in the hotel, where you can enjoy a bath to your heart's content. I particularly like their open-air bath. On this snowy night, I could feel the snowflakes falling on my face while soaking in the hot spring, dotted with starlight, and my body, mind and soul were completely relaxed. There is also a vending machine outside the bathhouse selling local small farmer brand milk. In this age when glass bottle milk is almost extinct, we especially cherish this experience. 🗻The guest rooms at Youxiangyuan are spacious and comfortable, combining traditional Japanese style with modern facilities. Some rooms have private open-air baths, allowing visitors to enjoy the pleasure of bathing in private. This time we stayed in a triple room. The hotel was very considerate and provided a mixed Japanese and Western experience, whether you like to sleep on a mattress or a tatami 🗻Yuxiangyuan's dinner offers exquisite imperial cuisine made with local ingredients, and you can taste the unique flavor of Iwate Prefecture. Breakfast offers a sumptuous Japanese buffet, which is overall quite good. 🚗In terms of transportation, free shuttle buses are provided, stopping at JR Shin-Hanamaki Station, where you can take the Shinkansen, and JR Hanamaki Station, where you can take the conventional line. It takes about 50 minutes to get from Yukaen to Shin-Hanamaki, and Hanamaki Station is a little closer.
