[Winter Travel in Hamamatsu] Stations where black-headed seagulls fly - You'll be amazed at the sheer number! Peak time is late January to February

📍 Lake Hamana Sakume Station 725-9 Sakume, Mikkabi-cho, Hamamatsu-shi, Shizuoka 《Access》 About 17 minutes on foot from Higashi-Tsuzuki Station exit About 18 minutes on foot from Sunza Station exit About 33 minutes on foot from Tsuzuki Station exit ✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲ ▶️About 10 minutes by car from Mikkabi IC on the Shin-Tomei Expressway ▶️It's a small station with an average of less than 30 passengers per day, but it's popular as a station where a large number of black-headed gulls gather! It was the perfect season, so it was a place I definitely wanted to go. When visiting by car, look for the large cow toilet as a landmark. When I entered the station platform... I was stunned by the cries and the countless Yurikamome! I waited for one or two trains per hour to take this photo. The trains are amazing too. I wonder if all these Yurikamome trains don't impair visibility. ▶️I found an old man feeding the seagulls with practiced hands. Apparently, he starts feeding them at 10:32, 10:47, 14:27, and 14:47 when the train arrives. Then a flock of seagulls surrounds the train. Usually there are about 400 to 500 of them. The peak is from late January to early February. The colder the temperature, the more Yurikamome there are who can't get food. At times, 700 to 800 black-headed gulls come... When you feed them, the gulls land on your head... It's a really funny sight😆😆😆 You can feed the gulls by purchasing seagull food (100 yen per bag) sold at the cafe "Katorea" attached to the station. At first, I was a little scared, but once they got used to it, they flew towards the food I put out and ate it. They even sat on my head...it was so cute😍 If I come to Hamamatsu again in the winter, I'll definitely stop by. #Shizuoka #Hamamatsu #Yurikamome #Sakume Station #Lake Hamana #0 yen trip January 2025
