Hakodate's Historic Jo Niijima

#2024wish In January 2014, I embarked on an unforgettable journey to Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan. Amidst the snow-kissed streets, I stumbled upon the Jo Niijima Bronze Statue at 24-10 Suehirocho. Towering with historical significance, the sculpture of Jo Niijima, an influential educator and key figure in the Meiji era, exuded a timeless aura. Surrounding it, the cityscape of Hakodate, adorned with quaint charm, created a picturesque backdrop. Standing there, I felt a connection to the rich cultural tapestry of Japan. Now, reflecting on that serene moment, I yearn to revisit Hakodate and the Jo Niijima Bronze Statue. In 2024, I wish to go there again, to relive the magic and bask in the beauty of that winter wonderland.
