Compared to Hangzhou, I have a greater love for this free, less-known cherry blossom forest where camping is possible

Just a 1-hour drive from Hangzhou's city center, you can reach this massive cherry blossom forest that boasts 7,000 trees and spans 430 acres. It's currently in full bloom, making it feel like you've stepped into a fairy tale world. And it's not just about flower viewing; you can also camp, cycle, fly kites, and enjoy the view of the Qiantang River from the dam. I've already taken the kids there several times, and now I'm sharing this hidden gem of a family travel destination with everyone! 🌈Location: Baili Qiantang, Haining City, Zhejiang Province 🌈Admission: Free 🌈Navigation: Baili Qiantang Ecological Green Belt No. 2 Entrance 🔸During holidays, if there are events and traffic jams, navigate from the direction shown in picture 2. You can park for free along the side of the road. There is no public transportation, so self-driving is recommended. 🌈Facilities: 🔸Right at the entrance of No. 2, there is a clean toilet; next to it, there's a vending machine for drinks, and local villagers sell ice cream, puffed rice snacks, as well as toys, Hanfu clothing, and slippers. 🌈Outdoor Activities: 🔸Cycling🚲: Rent a public bicycle. Route: No. 2 entrance ➡️ head west ➡️ Tidal Park, about a 15-minute one-way trip. The scenery along the way is incredibly beautiful, featuring not only mid-season and late-blooming cherry blossoms but also the lovely Hepatica flowers on the ground. 🔸Kite Flying: The riverside is windy and free of obstructions like power lines, making the vast lawn perfect for activities. You can also bring frisbees and other outdoor toys. 🔸Camping⛺️: On the green belt along the Qiantang River, the open space allows for freely setting up tents with good privacy due to the distance between spots. You can choose to set up near the metasequoia forest, under cherry trees, or by the river. 🌈Accommodation: It's recommended to return on the same day. If you wish to stay overnight, you can opt for the Fangcao Ground RV Campsite located within the cherry blossom forest, which offers a great experience and a variety of family activities.
