Weihu Mountain City Scenic Area

Weihu Mountain City was built according to the novel *Tracks in the Snowy Forest* and the model of the old city of Hailin. It was built as a filming location for *Tracks in the Snowy Forest* and other films and TV series featuring old Northeast mountain towns. It consists of several scenic spots, including the City Gate Tower, Linhai Town, Jiapigou Village, Shenhe Temple, and Weihu Hall. The City Gate Tower was restored based on the old Linhai Mountain City gate, incorporating traditional architectural styles of Northeast mountain cities, such as blue brick buildings, upturned eaves, and ridges. Standing on the tower, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding natural scenery and the Russian Style Park. Linhai Town Street showcases the charm of the old Linhai Mountain City through its blue brick buildings and soaring eaves and ridges. Jiapigou Village, as an important part of the film and television city, is a microcosm of the old Northeast mountain villages and the setting for many stories in the novel. Weihu Hall is the bandit lair where the three generations of bandits led by Zuoshandiao were entrenched in the novel. Built according to the description in the novel, it is divided into three main halls: front, middle, and rear, each with secret passages connecting to the outside of the mountain. *Tracks in the Snowy Forest* is a novel written by the modern writer Qu Bo, published in 1957, depicting the battles against bandits in Northeast China during the early days of the Liberation War. In the winter of 1946, a small detachment of the Northeast Democratic Allied Army, led by regimental chief of staff Shao Jianbo, went deep into the snowy forests to carry out bandit suppression missions. Reconnaissance hero Yang Zirong engaged in a battle of wits and courage with the Zuoshandiao bandit gang in Weihu Mountain.
