Located in Xining, the ancient city of Ping'an Post Station

Ping'an Post Station has been a place of strategic importance with convenient transportation since ancient times. It was a focal point of contention between the Han and Qiang peoples, with three large-scale battles during the Eastern Han Dynasty. The area, known as Ping'an District in Haidong City, has been historically referred to as the 'City of Blood and Tears.' People longed for peace, hence the name Ping'an (meaning 'peace'). Now, it has become a tourist town with many Tibetan-style buildings and numerous local snacks, all run by local residents. It's quite nice to take a leisurely stroll and explore.
