Jirisan National Park

I did a two-day trek to Cheonwangbong Peak, the highest on mainland Korea, and the sunrise from the summit was absolutely breathtaking. The park is home to rich biodiversity—I saw deer, colorful birds, and an incredible variety of plants along the trails. Unlike other national parks, Jirisan feels remote and untouched, making it perfect for those who enjoy solitude and long hikes. The small mountain villages within the park were charming, offering cozy lodges and delicious home-cooked meals. While it's not as easy to access as some other parks, it’s well worth the journey. If you love trekking and want to immerse yourself in Korea’s natural beauty, Jirisan is a must. Just make sure to plan ahead, as some trails require multiple days to complete!"
