Mt. Takao｜Exciting things besides hiking

When you go on an outing to Mt. Takao, you can’t miss out on the various delicacies. The first one I want to introduce is Mt. Takao’s specialty, Tengu-yaki. The shop is located right next to the cable car station halfway up the mountain. It is very popular and there are always long queues every time I pass by. It tastes surprisingly delicious. The Tengu-shaped skin is baked to a slightly charred and crispy texture, and the filling made from Hokkaido black beans is just the right sweetness. You must try one when you come to Mt. Takao. Another dish that many people recommend is the Tenguya Cheese Tart, which is also located in Takaoyama Sumika, right next to the popular Tenguyaki. The cheese filling is made with three types of cheese from Hokkaido, France and Denmark, and the taste is quite rich. It's a pity that I got a cold one, which deducted a lot of points.
