Gyeongju - One-day tour guide in South Korea.

I have nothing to do, so I'll share my trip to Gyeongju with you. Gyeongju was the royal capital of the ancient Korean dynasty Silla and has a history of nearly a thousand years. Silla was deeply influenced by Tang culture, so there are Buddhist temples all over the country. I call this place the Buddha's Land. I started from Seoul and took the KTX to Gyeongju High Speed Rail Station. Gyeongju is now a small city with no subway, so all transportation depends on buses. Download Naver Maps in Korea, switch to Chinese or English, and search for buses. You can take the bus directly to Gyeongju Museum (P1). There is also the Silla Royal Tomb (P last) nearby. It may be because of the simplicity in ancient times that the Silla people built hills as tombs. There are many Buddha sculptures in the museum, which are worth seeing. There is also the Eastern Palace nearby, but I didn’t go to see it. After visiting the museum, take the bus to Bulguksa Temple (P4-P7). It was April and the peach blossoms were in full bloom. Bulguksa Temple should be one of the earliest ancient temples in South Korea, and its layout is similar to that of temples in China. It is worth a visit. After coming out, you can climb Tuhan Mountain from the mountain road next to it and go to Seokguram Grotto (P8). There is only one Buddha statue in the Grotto, and you are not allowed to take photos, but it is well preserved and the carving craftsmanship is excellent. It is a world cultural heritage. After visiting the Buddhist temple, we took the bus to Cheomseongdae. There is a cultural street nearby (P9-P12) with antique buildings. I don’t know what it is called, but I call it Silla Tangcheng. There are many Korean couples walking on the street, which is very pleasing to the eye. Under the sunset and haze, the Cultural Street has a unique charm. The prices in Gyeongju are lower. I had barbecue at a place called Baek Hundred Restaurant on this street (P2), which cost RMB 50 per portion. It was a big portion of pork, and I also had some vegetables as side dishes, which I don't see in other places in Korea. The 10-yuan cake (P down one), which is popular on some internet websites, is shaped like a Korean 10-yuan coin, with cheese filling and tastes like domestic egg waffles. However, the price was equivalent to RMB 15, and I initially thought it was RMB 10.
