Wilie put aside her artistic passion to become a mother when she was 21 years old. She enrolled the Royal College of Art in 1979 at the age of 45. It took a while to find her footing and she started to gain prominence in the 2010s when she was in her late-70s. I am impressed by her commitment to art. Wilie is known for creating large paintings on unprimed canvas.
