The reason why I go over the hill_Seong Sam-jae

Jirisan Seongsamjae. I went up to Seongsamjae by car. If I have any business in the southern provinces, I usually stop by Seongsamjae. Jirisan is a vast mountainous area that spans Jeollabuk-do, Jeollanam-do, and Gyeongsangnam-do. Among the many interchanges on the highways surrounding Jirisan, the only one with the name 'Jirisan' is the Jirisan Interchange on the Gwangju-Daegu Expressway in Namwon, Jeollabuk-do. If you take the national road from Inwol and take Route 861, Dalgung Valley flows next to you. You have to take a narrow local road again to Seongsamjae, but this road, which is about 5km long, is great for driving regardless of the season. In the summer, the shade from the trees blocks the sun, which is nice, and in spring and fall, the wind is incredibly fragrant. This is the reason why I go over Seongsamjae Pass instead of taking the highway or the national road. Seongsamjae Rest Area. At 1,090m above sea level, it is higher than most mountains. You can see Gurye city right below, and you can see Mt. Mudeungsan in Gwangju in the distance. The high sky and clouds above are also beautiful. However, what interests me is the Jirisan guide map at the entrance to Nogodan, on the other side of the view. From here, it is 28.1km to Cheonwangbong. It takes less than 30 minutes by car, and it is a comfortable distance in an hour or two by bike, but it is a distance that you can barely reach even if you walk all day. For me, it is a distance that takes two days to reach. In the past, it was said that it was 100km from Seongsamjae to Cheonwangbong. It was absurd, but it must have meant that it was 'terribly far', and in fact, it was a misunderstanding of '100ri', not '100km'. So it is about 25km. The current distance must have been determined after several measurements. I want to stand on the Jirisan ridge this fall. I think I haven't been there in about 20 years.
