No Need to Go to Japan?! Private Bath Experience in Gunsan

While thinking about where to go for a healing trip with my mom, I discovered in Gunsan. Morak is a bathhouse created in a former brewery, located in Gunsan's Modern History Street. The building, a Japanese-style house from the colonial era, exudes a strong Japanese vibe. At Morak, you can enjoy a bath infused with fermented liquor made from Gunsan rice. After the bath, your skin feels cleaner and smoother. In addition to the bath, there are various activities to enjoy, such as a traditional tea ceremony featuring Gunsan's signature teas, massages, and even waterproof books to read while relaxing. Although it wasn't an open-air bath, the experience was enough to feel like a Japanese ryokan without leaving Korea! Having experienced a real ryokan in Japan, my mom and I found this to be quite similar and thoroughly enjoyed our bath. 🫧
