#MarchGoodPlaces2025 Gochikuin Temple is located in Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture. Below is the famous Anyangji Temple. Gochikuin Temple was founded in 1521 and is an ancient temple of the Caodong sect. It has been passed down to the 22nd generation. In 1881 (Meiji 12), the temple became the fire prevention center of Gujo City. The temple also attracted the cross-sectarian faith of local residents who called it "Akihabara-sama". There are Yotoku-do, Toyokawa-do, Taishi-do, Jizo-do, etc. in the temple. The environment here is quite quiet and there are no other tourists to be seen. Above the temple is the Gujo Happo Castle and below is Anyang-ji Temple. It is very comfortable here and you can slowly appreciate every corner of the building without being disturbed.
