Hunan Guiyang Dongta Park

Dongta Park is named after the Dongta Tower (also known as Lufeng Tower), which was completed in the first year of the Wanli era (1573) of the Ming Dynasty. The tower stands 30.18 meters tall and features a seven-story, octagonal pavilion-style brick and stone structure, showcasing the architectural characteristics of the Ming Dynasty. Originally built during the Zhiping era (1064-1067) of the Northern Song Dynasty, the tower later collapsed and was rebuilt in the 10th year of the Jiajing era (1531) of the Ming Dynasty, finally completed in 1573. In 1984, it underwent major renovations funded by the Hunan Provincial Government and was transformed into a park, being listed as a provincial-level cultural heritage site the same year. The park centers around the tower, with Lufeng Temple as its main feature, expanding outward to offer beautiful scenery that blends natural charm with classical elegance. Currently, the park features 19 scenic spots and areas, with an estimated visiting time of about one and a half hours.
