Dongjing Walled Village was built in the second year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1852) and has a history of 170 years. According to the "Guizhou County Annals" of Guangxu, "Dongjing Walled Village is located in Dongjingtang Village, five miles south of Guo, and was built by Dingcai and others during the Xianfeng period. It has been preserved many times by bandits." The ancient walled village was built along the ridge. The west wall is high and the east wall is low, the highest is 5 meters, the lowest is 2.5 meters, and the thickness is 0.7 meters. It is built with lime and green bricks. The architectural style of Dongjing Walled Village is a typical Hakka walled house. The walled house is built along the ridge, with one side leaning against the mountain, surrounded by water on three sides, surrounded by walls, facing west to east, the west wall is high and the east wall is low, the highest wall is 5 meters, the lowest is 2.5 meters, and the wall is 0.7 meters thick. It is built with stones and green bricks, and the walled house covers an area of about 20 acres. Dongjing Walled Village is a huge ancient residential building complex with the characteristics of Hakka fortress, integrating castle, ancestral hall, residential house, well, and hetang. The mottled walls, towering Hu'er Tower, quiet stone roads, renovated ancient wells, exquisite murals and wood carvings, and outside the city are ponds and good fields, just like a paradise. The construction craftsmanship here is amazing. Walking into the ancestral hall, you can see the dragon and phoenix carvings on the ridge of the main building, all of which are hand-carved, and some are mainly animals and plants, with bright colors, lifelike and realistic.
